Wikipedia – Dragonball is a 2009 American live action film adaptation of the Dragon Ball media franchise. The film follows Goku, played by Justin Chatwin, and his quest to obtain the mystical Dragonballs before the evil Lord Piccolo, played by James Marsters, can. The film began development in 2002, and is directed by James Wong and produced by Stephen Chow. It is scheduled for release on April 10, 2009.

Who would want an American to portray Goku? There are a lot of actors in Japan whom I think would suit Goku better. I really can’t tell if this movie will be a flop or not since Stephen Chow produced the film. My only concern really is the cast. The movie’s appeal to me automatically went down when I saw names of American actors. This is no joke. This is not a cosplay. I think I’m going to feel again the emotion I felt when Americans made a live action film of the anime/game Streetfighter.

Wikipedia – Terminator Salvation is an upcoming science fiction action film set for release on May 22, 2009. Directed by Joseph “McG” Nichol, it is the fourth film in the Terminator franchise and stars Christian Bale as John Connor, Bryce Dallas Howard as Kate Connor, Anton Yelchin as Kyle Reeses, and Sam Worthington as the new terminator Marcus Wright. The film is set in 2018, focusing on the original war between humanity and the Terminator computer network Skynet. It abandons the formula of the series (Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Model 101 terminator time traveling to the present to protect or kill someone of future importance), the films rating could very possibly be R-rated depending on the final cut. Filming began on May 5, 2008.

Another movie to watch out for. I’ve enjoyed the first three movies so i might as well enjoy the fourth. I’ve heard that the director wanted Terminator 4 to stand on its own without the original films, so expect a lot of changes in the flow of the story.

In the latest episode of Naruto manga, Naruto is training under the supervision of a sage frog in order to make use of the sage chakra. I’m not sure yet what this so-called chakra can do but i have an idea since the frog gave an example by lifting a huge rock. The frog said that Naruto has to be one with nature. The talking frog also said that for Naruto to obtain the sage chakra, he must die first since it is hard to master if he does it the normal way. The normal way is mastering the sage chakra by not moving. Naruto does not want to master sage chakra that way so he asked the frog what he meant when he said that Naruto should die first. The frog then showed Naruto “Myobokuzan’s secret frog oil” which may be poured on his skin. The said oil has the power to draw natural energy. Though this oil can speed up his training, there is a chance he must give up his humanity. Naruto will become a frog if he cannot control and balance the three energies which are physical, spiritual and natural. That was what the frog meant when he spoke the words,”You must die first.” If Naruto succeeds on this training, he will have superhuman strength, just like Sakura. Though I’m excited about Naruto’s training I’m also a bit concerned since Akatsuki is about to attack Konoha. Will Konoha be wiped out? Let’s all wait for the next episode! Visit onemanga.com/naruto.
